Sammamish advances to Class 2A state tourney

The Sammamish Totems registered a 51-37 victory against Sehome in a winner-to-state, loser-out regional playoff game on Feb. 27 at Renton High School. The Totems (13-11) will face East Valley (Spokane) in the first round of the Class 2A state tournament  at 9 p.m. on March 5 in Yakima.

Vikings earn trip to Class 1A state tournament

The Bellevue Christian Vikings defeated Seattle Academy 38-33 on Feb. 28 in a winner-to-state, loser-out regional playoff game on Feb. 28 at Renton High School. The Vikings (18-7) will face Cashmere in the first round of the Class 1A state tournament at 9 a.m. on March 5 in Yakima.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Bellevue clinches berth at Class 4A tourney

The Bellevue Wolverines collected a 68-64 win against the Foss Falcons in a winner-to-state, loser-out regional playoff game on Feb. 28 at Bellevue College. The Wolverines (23-3) will face the Rainier Beach Vikings in the first round of the Class 3A state tournament at 7:15 p.m. on March 5 in Tacoma.

Clarkston conquers Sammamish

Clarkston defeated the Sammamish Totems 63-59 in a winner-to-state, loser-out regional playoff game on Feb. 28 at Cheney High School. The Totems finished the 2014-15 season with an overall record of 20-6.
