Saints earn sweep, Eastlake outlasts Newport at China Creek | Prep sports roundup

Interlake picked up a win on the volleyball court while the Knights were outlasted by conference rival Eastlake on the golf course.

Volleyball

Interlake 3 Evergreen 0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-11)

Kendall Davis finished with a team-high 16 kills for the Saints in the win.

Kayla Miller added 21 assists and 11 digs and Carolyn Fordyce had nine kills and 11 digs.

Bellevue 0 Eastlake 3 (25-18, 25-21, 25-20)

Julia Pettere had 19 digs for Bellevue but it wasn’t enough as the Wolves picked up the sweep.

Boys golf

Eastlake 182 Newport 193 @ Newcastle – China Creek

Spencer Weiss, Li Wang and RP McCoy shared medalist honors for the Wolves with Tommy Liao of Newport after all shot 36.

Will Sharp and Josh Grace carded a score of 37 for Eastlake and Tiger Nelson did the same for the Knights.

Eastlake moves its team record to 3-0 on the season.

Boys tennis

Interlake 6 Inglemoor 1

The Saints took three of the four singles matches behind Luat Le, Kevin Liu and Josh Higa while Eric Radoi and Joe Motto, Billy Hao and Ben Vernhes and Nikhil Grover and Tu Pham swept the doubles matches.
