Mount Si boys upset Bellevue, force tie for first | Prep Basketball

No. 6 Mount Si 63, No. 2 Bellevue 50

Tanner Riley scored 22 points as No. 6 Mount Si upset No. 2 Bellevue 63-50 in Snoqualmie and forced a tie for the conference lead with just one game remaining for both teams.

Justin Downer added 13 points for the Wildcats (15-4, 10-1 KingCo 3A/2A) and Zander Nelson and Dillon Shain each added 10.

Nate Sikma scored 23 points to lead Bellevue (17-2, 10-1). Mount Si limited Bellevue’s Aaron Bright to 11 points, his second-lowest point total of the season.

Interlake 53, Juanita 51

Willie Beattie scored 13 points as the Saints earned their first league win in the final regular season game of the year, topping Juanita 53-51.

Seven different Saints (7-11, 1-10) scored points in the win. Ryon Cunnigan led the Rebels (6-14, 2-10) with 12 points.

Issaquah 61, Newport 60 (OT)

Nick Price scored 25 points and Issaquah barely outlasted Newport 61-60 in overtime.

Joe Evans (14 points) and Derek Wilson (12) also scored in double figures for the Eagles (6-13, 3-12). Newport (5-14, 4-11 KingCo 4A) was led by Isaac Dotson, who scored 21 points and Victor King, who added 15.

Bellevue Christian 75, Seattle Academy 55

Senior David Downs broke a school record with 18 assists and also poured in 21 points to lead Bellevue Christian past Seattle Academy 75-55.

Chris Pattison and Max Pressey each scored 11 points for the Vikings (14-5, 11-0 Emerald City League). Adrian Brandon led Seattle Academy (7-12, 5-6) with 17 points.

Girls Basketball

Mount Si 57, Bellevue 54

Catelyn Webber scored 23 points but Bellevue couldn’t solve Mount Si, losing 57-54 to the Wildcats.

Hailey Eddings scored 14 points for Mount Si (11-8, 7-4 KingCo 3A/2A) in the win.

Bellevue dropped to 12-7 overall and 8-3 in league play with the loss.

Juanita 66, Interlake 49

Kimberly Baba scored 13 points and Kate Cryderman scored 10 as the Rebels knocked off Interlake 66-49.

Litia Ngauamo led Interlake (9-10, 2-9) with 16 points. Juanita improved to 12-8 overall and 8-4 in league play with the win.
