May 1

Bellevue 3, Juanita 1

Bellevue led 1-0 thanks to Race Sciabica before a final five minute flurry of scoring, but the Wolverines held on to win 3-1. After Sciabica scored in the 13th minute, Mike Kunz scored in the 75th minute to give Bellevue (6-9, 5-6 KingCo 3A/2A) a 2-0 lead, but Mason Bochner’s unassisted goal with two minutes left cut the deficit to one for Juanita (4-8-1, 4-5-1). Liam Kelly cemented the game for Bellevue, scoring an unassisted goal in the final minute.

Sammamish 1, Mount Si 1

Taylor Berg scored in the 53rd minute to tie the game for the Totems (5-5-3, 4-4-2), and it would remain deadlocked at one. Dyson Fowler scored for Mount Si (4-7-2, 3-5-2).

Mercer Island 2, Interlake 0

Chris Morris and Danny Strome scored goals to help Mercer Island (14-0-1, 11-0) beat Interlake and remain undefeated. Forrest Marowitz got the shutout for the Islanders. Interlake dropped to 5-7-2 overall and 3-7 in conference play with the loss.

Newport 2, Skyline 0

Scotty Staples had a goal and an assist, helping the Knights beat Skyline 2-0. Max Dunford also scored for Newport (5-8-2, 4-5-1 KingCo 4A) and Wyatt Rodan got the shutout. Skyline dropped to 4-8-2 overall and 3-6-1 in conference play with the loss.

April 30

Roosevelt 3, Bellevue 0

Tolga Dilek scored twice to help Roosevelt to a 3-0 non-league victory over Bellevue. Nick Drummond also scored for the Roughriders (6-4-3) and Tieler Davidson picked up the shutout. Bellevue fell to 5-9 overall with the loss.

Piper Essick scored six goals and Cindy Lucas made seven saves as Wenatchee beat Bellevue East 19-15.

Elena Winberger of Tacoma scored three goals to lead them to a 11-9 win over Bellevue. Charlie Cisakowski made eight saves for Tacoma. Bellevue was led by Merielle Moffatt with six goals.

Zach Nasu went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs as Newport edged Mount Rainier 4-2 in non-conference play. Cole Wiper got the win for Newport (11-8) while Desmond Santos took the loss for Mount Rainier (16-4). The win was Newport’s fifth in a row.

Jared Fisher went six innings, allowing eight hits and three earned runs to help the Knights (11-8, 8-7 KingCo 4A) knock off the Eagles. Kevon Zadeh and Trace Tam Sing each had two RBIs to hand Issaquah (10-8, 8-7) the loss.

Liberty 6, Sammamish 2

Troy Colyer, Erir Etter and Eric Peterson all knocked in two runs as Liberty beat the Totems 6-2. John McLeod got the win for the Patriots (15-3, 14-2 KingCo 3A/2A), while Peterson picked up the save. Ross Kylczyk was tagged with the loss for Sammamish (7-11, 6-10).

SOFTBALL

May 1

Newport 16, Garfield 0

The Knights scored six times in the first inning and six times in the fourth inning as Newport blew out Garfield 16-0. Kayla Reynolds struck out nine for the Knights (7-8, 4-7 KingCo 4A). Olivia Turner took the loss for Garfield (1-11, 0-11).

Bellevue 8, Sammamish 5

Carly Brog went 3-for-3 to help the Wolverines beat Sammamish 8-5 on the road. Lily Jacking got the win for Bellevue (9-6, 7-3 KingCo 3A/2A). Elizabeth Guilford went 4-for-4 in the loss for Sammamish (6-10, 1-8). Alix Van Zandt knocked in three runs for the Totems.
