Freshman Bethke goes off, Wolverines muscle past Overlake School to power Bellevue past Overlake in boys lax
Bellevue Freshman Hank Bethke netted four goals and added four assists to lead the Bellevue lacrosse team to its 11th win of the season with a 14 – 4 defeat of Overlake.
Bellevue controlled the game from the outset, building a 3-1 lead after one period and taking an 8-3 advantage into halftime. Bellevue continued to play dominant defense in the second half, allowing only one goal through the final two periods of the contest to win going away.
With the win, the Wolverines keep pace with Issaquah for second place in the standings.

Bellevue JV takes down Blanchet in boys lacrosse
How deep is the Bellevue lacrosse program? Not only are the Wolverines in a two-way tie for second in Division-I action, the Bellevue JV team took down second place D-II squad Blanchett on Wednesday by a final score of 8-7. The loss was only the fourth setback of the year for the Braves.
Hess nets 6 as Snohomish drops Bellevue in girls Division-I lacrosse
The Bellevue girls team continued to struggle in girls D-I lacrosse, falling by a final of 26-9 at the hands of Snohomish on Wednesday. Meaghan Hess scored 6 goals to lead Snohomish to its 14th win of the season.
Bellevue (0-9-0) will look to get in the win column when they meet Roosevelt (2-7-0), Wednesday, May 4, in an 8 p.m. start at Mercer Island High School.

Megan Davis led the Snohomish D-II girls team past Forest Ridge by a count of 11-8 on Wednesday.

Wolz pours in five to lead Bellevue East past Mukilteo for 9th win
Sophie Wolz scored five goals as undefeated Bellevue East cruised past Mukilteo 22 – 13 for its 9th girls high school lacrosse win of the season, Wednesday at Robinswood Park in Bellevue.
The win pushes the Wolverines’ points lead to four over second-place Overlake for the Northeast Conference crown.
Wolz’s five goals gave her 35 goals in only seven games this season.
Bellevue East (9-0-0) next faces Overlake (8-1-0), Friday, April 29, in a 5 p.m. start at the Overlake School in Redmond.

Newport-Redmond girls golf postponed due to weather
The much-anticipated girls golf match between Redmond and Newport was postponed due to weather yesterday. Both coaches were hoping to finish the match, but after a small river began to run through one of the greens, it was impossible not to acquiesce to Mother Nature.
It is still uncertain whether the match will be continued from the point of stoppage or if an entirely new round will be played.
