Knights softball players garner recognition for stellar 2019 season

The Newport Knights girls softball team was well represented in the 4A softball all-league selections.

Newport Knights senior pitcher Hanako Hirai earned first-team, all-league honors. Newport shortstop Alexsi Barashkoff also captured first-team, all-league as a shortstop. Newport players garnering honorable mention honors included Noelle Thomas, Arianna Arnone, Katie Lee and Brook Richards.

Sophomore sprinter earns an individual title.

The Interlake Saints girls tennis team consisting of Charlize Yeh, Sylvia Eklund, Olivia Sun, Addie Eklund, Angel Le and Abby Nash won the 3A state tennis championship, tallying 35 team points on May 25 at the Tri-City Court Club in Kamiakin.
