The Interlake Saints girls tennis team earned the Class 3A state tennis title for the first time in school history on May 28 in the Tri-Cities.

The Saints compiled 22 team points, edging out Mercer Island who finished with 17 total team points. The victory snappedMercer Island’s streak of seven consecutive Class 3A state tennis titles. Interlake’s Angel Le captured second place in the singles tournament. Shreyaa Mukund nabbed eighth place in the singles tourney as well. In doubles action, the dynamic duo of Lina Larson and Jessica Liang earned second place in the doubles tournament.
