Interlake beats Newport, Bellevue | Prep sports roundup

The Saints earned a pair of wins over crosstown foes as they took matches from Newport and Bellevue.

Boys tennis

Interlake 4 Newport 3

The Saints won the battle of defending state champions and crosstown rivals behind singles victories from Luat Le, Eric Radoi and Eddie Locke and a doubles victory in the number three spot from Josh Higa and Nikhil Grover.

Edwin Carlos picked up the lone singles win for the Knights and David An and Derek Huang and Matt Sham and Alex Namba took doubles matches.

Interlake 7 Bellevue 0

The Saints followed the win over Newport with a victory over Bellevue.

Le, Radoi, Locke and Joe Motto won singles matches and Interlake also swept the doubles.

Volleyball

Interlake 3 Sammamish 0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-10)

Margo Parker finished with five kills and three blocks for the Saints and Julia Regalia added four aces, three kills and eight assists in the win.

Bellevue 2 Liberty 3 (25-17, 17-25, 25-16, 15-25, 16-14)

The Wolverines took the Patriots to five games before falling 16-14 in the fifth.

Kelsey Burns had a team high 25 digs and Natalie Phee added 20 assists for Bellevue.
