The sophomore bettered last year's runner-up finish with a 2A/3A KingCo conference title.

Sammamish sophomore Pascale De Sa E Silva finished her second conference championship meet at the front of the pack in a time of 19 minutes, 7.68 seconds, more than 12 seconds in front of second place finisher Megan Chucka of Liberty.

The Knights were fourth as a team on the boys side, led by the ninth place finish of senior Christophe Chamberland and 11th place finisher James Hamilton.

Gordon Kuenster was 17th and Grant Stein 19th for Newport.

The 4A Bi-District meet is at Lakewood High School on October 27.
