Softball

April 15

Bellevue 3, Sammamish 0

Emily Fleischman pitched six shutout innings as Bellevue defeated Sammamish 3-0 Wednesday afternoon at Bellevue High School.

Fleischman evened her record out to 5-5 as she struck out six while only allowing three hits. Corri McAllister had two RBIs for Bellevue (5-3, 3-0 KingCo 3A/2A). Carly Brog had a double for the Wolverines.

Allyson Brown was tagged with the loss for the Totems (5-3, 0-2).

Redmond 4, Newport 3

Three different Mustangs stroked doubles and Erika Hendron pitched a complete game shutout as Redmond beat Newport 4-3.

Hendron pitched five innings of shutout ball before the Knights (3-4, 0-3 KingCo 4A) were able to break through with three runs in the sixth. Hendron struck out six for Redmond (4-1, 3-0).

Kayla Reynolds took the loss for Newport.

Boys Soccer

March 14

Bellevue 4, Liberty 0

Liam Kelly scored two goals and Kasra Tayebi picked up a shutout as Bellevue rolled over Liberty 4-0.

Race Sciabica and Mike Rubinstein got the Wolverines (3-6, 2-4 KingCo 3A/2A) rolling on offense before Kelly scored the final two goals of the game.

Liberty falls to 6-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 with the loss.

Sammamish 3, Interlake 1

The Totems scored three unanswered goals to begin the game as Sammamish beat Interlake 3-1.

Nate Wigley, Leland Matthaeus and Mitch Rock all scored goals for the Totems (4-3-2, 3-2-1). John Northey scored the only goal for the Saints (3-5-2, 1-5).

Newport 3, Woodinville 0

Adam Dootson picked up a shutout for the Knights as Newport rolled over Woodinville 3-0 in Bellevue.

Kyle Savette, Eric Tsuchiyama and Scotty Staples are scored for the Knights (3-6-1, 2-3 KingCo 4A).

Woodinville’s record went to 4-2-2 overall and 4-2-1 in conference play with the loss.

Boys Lacrosse

April 14

Issaquah 13, Bellevue 8

Jake Fritz scored five goals to lead Issaquah to a 13-8 Boys Division I win against Bellevue.

Tyler Lucas of Issaquah helped keep Bellevue’s Kyle Mutzel, one of the league’s leading scorers, scoreless during the game. Cole Nordstrom led the Wolverines (3-2) with five goals and on assist.

Riley Goodman had an outstanding game for Issaquah (5-0), winning a majority of the faceoffs and grabbing eight groundballs to go with two goals and an assist.

Girls Lacrosse

March 15

Nathan Hale 15, Bellevue 8

Lara Sidhu and Haly Rylko scored four goals each to help lead Nathan Hale over Bellevue.

Hannah Gose made 14 saves for Hale (3-2). Bellevue falls to 2-4-1 on the year with the loss.

March 14

Forest Ridge 14, Lake Sammamish 11

Jillian Chong and Kati Voeller each scored four goals as the Ravens held off Sammamish 14-11 at Marymoor Park in Girls Division I play.

Chong also had three assists for the Ravens (2-3) in the win. Haley Meier added three goals for Forest Ridge.

Lake Sammamish (3-3) was led by Kylie Neale and Katie Fithian with three goals each.

Bellevue East 14, Ballard 11

Sophie Wolz had five goals and three assists and Macey Mirante added three goals and an assist as Bellevue East beat Ballard 14-11 in Girls Division II play.

Sam Gunnerson had 15 saves for Bellevue East (5-2).

Ballard (2-3) was led by Amanda Bryan, who scored four goals.

Baseball

March 13

Inglemoor 2, Newport 0

Obi Taylor improved to 3-0 on the season by pitching a complete game seven-hit shutout for Inglemoor, helping the Vikings to a 2-0 win over Newport.

Trevor McMaster hit a two-run home run and for the Vikings (5-5, 4-4 KingCo 4A). Brandon Andreini took the loss for Newport (5-5, 4-4). Andreini went six innings and allowed two runs on four hits. He struck out seven.

Sammamish 4, Juanita 2

Ross Kulczyk threw a complete game seven-hitter as Sammamish beat Juanita 4-2.

The Rebels scored twice in the first inning but Kylczyk shut down the Juanita offense and didn’t allow another run the rest of the game. Chris Strain led the Sammamish (5-6, 4-5 KingCo 3A/2A) offense, going 3-for-4 with a double.

Robbie Ryan took the loss for Juanita (2-9, 1-8).
