Bellevue hopes to stay unbeaten, Newport coming off a loss, Interlake and Sammamish hunting first win.

Bellevue (4-0, 2-0) @ Juanita (3-1, 1-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

The Wolverines continued to roll, moving up in the MaxPreps.com national rankings by controlling their second consecutive Class 2A foe in Lake Washington with a 41-7 win.

The touchdown was only the third allowed all season by the Bellevue defense.

The Rebels rebounded from their only loss of the year with a 55-21 win over Liberty last week.

The game will be broadcast live on Alternative Talk 1150 AM, with pre-game beginning at 6:45.

Newport (3-1, 0-1) VS. Ballard (2-2, 1-0), Friday, 7 p.m.

A pair of standout performances from Issaquah quarterback Jack Neary and running back Jack Gellatly helped the Eagles to a lopsided win over Newport last week, 48-28 in the Knights’ first setback of the season.

Ballard, which enters the game off a pair of wins over Garfield and Kennedy, will make the trip across Lake Washington as Newport tries to even its Crown Division slate.

Interlake (0-4, 0-1) VS. Mercer Island  (2-1, 1-0), Friday, 7 p.m.

The Saints enter the game off a pair of shutout losses, most recently a 34-0 setback at the hands of Mount Si, and still have found the end zone only once through four games in 2013 in a 55-7 loss to Redmond.

Mercer Island survived an early test from Sammamish to beat the Totems 52-19 last week after taking care of Lake Washington 34-3 the week prior.

The same group of Mustangs that beat the Saints in week two hung on to top the Islanders 28-20 in the season opener.

Sammamish (0-4, 0-2) @ Mount Si (4-0, 2-0), Friday, 7 p.m.

Sammamish hung tough with the Islanders and even had a lead during the first half, but were ultimately overcome by a wave of second half turnovers and touchdowns in the loss.

Mount Si meanwhile has again looked the part of conference contender, sporting a perfect record including a victory over 4A Issaquah.
