Bellevue girls basketball team punches ticket to Class 3A state tourney

With a berth in the Class 3A state girls basketball tournament on the line, the Bellevue Wolverines delivered against the Kelso Hilanders. The Wolverines earned a 50-33 win against the Hilanders in a winner-to-state, loser-out regional playoff game on Feb. 23 at Bellevue College. Bellevue sophomore guard Kara Choi (pictured) drove to the basket against the interior of the Kelso defense. The Wolverines (21-5) will face the Bethel Braves at 9 a.m. on Feb. 28 in the first round of the Class 3A state tournament at the Tacoma Dome.
