Seahawks showed true class | Letter

When the news media said the Seahawks were going to do a demonstration at the game on Sunday in response to the actions of other NFL player, that did not sound good.

However, they showed true class in their show of unity, which is desperately needed to overcome the divisiveness from recent years, and most importantly, they did it in way to respect the American flag and veterans.

They are true professionals, not only on the field, but also in the way they involve themselves in supporting our community, not just throw money at a program for others to do the work. I believe they will have more impact on racial issues by their follow-though to meet with the Seattle mayor and chief of police, than any other actions by others who chose to just show disrespect.

In regards to the game, a fantastic finish with 31 seconds to spare. The players and coaches are the best in the league — leading by example in all areas.
