Patricia C. Green

A Tribute to the Life of

Patricia C. Green

Our mother passed away surrounded by family in her Tri-Cities home on June 29, 2014 knowing that she was loved and valued as a wife, mother, aunt, sister and grandmother. She will be remembered for her outspoken values and artistic ability. Pat’s love of art provided her with the ability to share her gift with family, friends and her community through her stoneware pottery business, “Pat’s Pots”. We extend her love and appreciation to her dear friend, Edith Hershey, and her other many friends from Bellevue.

Pat was born at home in Deer Lodge, MT, 1928. Her family settled in Richland, WA when her father was hired at Hanford on the Manhattan Project. She graduated from Richland High in 1947 and Eastern Washington College in 1951, majoring in Elementary Education. Afterwards, she taught at Ilwaco, Santa Maria, and the Island of Lanai prior to marrying William S. Green, Jr. in 1954. Pat continued to teach in Warden, Issaquah and Kirkland until after their three children were born. At home, she supported her husband and children’s activities: the Girl and Boy Scouts, Ardmore Garden Club, Bellevue Facility Wives, and summer camping trips to Salmon La Sac, Ocean Shores, and Lake Sacheen.

During the 1970’s, Pat worked at Interlake High School in the student store and then as the night custodian at Enatai Elementary. In retirement, Pat and Bill snowbirded to Yuma and summered at their lake home in eastern WA. In 2007, Pat and Bill returned to the Tri-Cities. Pat was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. Her son and daughter-in-law cared for her until her passing with the help of their loving daughters. At the very end her passing was attended by her son and granddaughters. Her cremains will be interred in DeBorgia, MT in July in a small wooded cemetery near extended family.

Pat was survived by; husband, Bill and adult children, Pam Arborgreen, Kirk (Shannon) Green and Nancy (Ken) Copeland. Grandchildren: Mariah, Sadie, Amanda (Alex), Chandler, Alaina, Sean and foster granddaughter, Crystal. Great grandkids: Callie and Dylan and foster great grandkids: Matthew and Tyler. Brothers; Jim (Pat) and Don (Joyce), cousin, Chuck (Wanda) Parker and her many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider donations in her name to a charity of your choice.
