Frank Dewey Manley, 90, formerly of Bellevue, WA, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011, in Kansas City, KS. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Grand Court of Kansas City, 501 W. 170th. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to Cedar Cove Feline Sanctuary or a charity of the donor’s choice. Born in Wichita, KS, Frank went to work for Boeing Aircraft in May 1939, traveling the world as a field service engineer, and retired in 1987 from Boeing in Everett, WA. He was a lifetime member of the amateur Sports Car Club of America, the International Race Drivers Club, and the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts. He was a member of the Overlake Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, WA. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Joan Manley, a daughter from a previous marriage, Marlis Broadhead, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
