Barbara Jean (Lehman) Buckley

Barbara Jean (Lehman) Buckley, was born in Toledo, Ohio, March 7, 1933. On February 1, 2011, she passed away in her sleep after a two year fight with cancer, in Melbourne, Florida. She is survived by her husband Clem Buckley (Marine Corp-ret.), her brother William Lehman of Ketchum, Idaho and her sister Margaret McCarthy of Bellevue, Washington. Barbara attended school in Ohio and two years at Duke University. During her teaching career she taught 932 students primarily at Lake Hills and Stevenson Elementary. Buck and Barbara retired to Melbourne, Florida where they have made many friends. Barbara’s smile, sense of humor and concern for others will be long remembered by those blessed with knowing her. Barbara’s lifelong dedication to education is reflected in her request that any memorials be sent to the Marine Military Academy, 320 Iwa Jima Blvd., Harlingen, Texas, 78550.
