Youth leadership awards nominations open

Bellevue Youth Link is accepting nominations for its Community Leadership Awards, which recognize outstanding community service by Bellevue youth, kindergarten through 12th grade.

Nominations can be submitted through May 5 at www.youthlink.com in 21 categories, including: Most Inspirational Youth – Boy and Girl, Outstanding Athlete – Boy and Girl, Outstanding Scholar – Boy and Girl, Diversity Champion, outstanding Middle School Student, and several Youth Link-focused awards.

The awards will be presented from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on May 24 at City Hall. The event will be free and open to the public. Space is limited.

Bellevue Youth Link is a leadership program sponsored by the city of Bellevue, Parks and Community Service Department and Bellevue Public Schools.

Since 1990, Bellevue Youth Link has engaged young people in the community and given them opportunities to make a difference.
