King County Elections will host two complimentary two-hour workshops to discuss important information related to filing for office in King County.
No reservations are needed and members of the public, candidates, campaign managers, treasurers and staff are invited to attend the workshop.
The first session will from 2-4 p.m. Friday, May 14. A second session will be 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, May 19. Both workshops will be at the county Elections Tukwila office, 9010 East Marginal Way S., Tukwila.
Following each candidate workshop, from 4-5 p.m., elections staff will provide a one-hour informational session explaining how ballots are designed.
Elections staff will cover the following topics: filing for office in King County, voters’ pamphlet information, campaign sign regulations, and basic public disclosure requirements.
To appear on the fall ballot, all candidates must file a declaration of candidacy online, in person or by mail no later than Friday, June 11 by 4:30 p.m. For more information on candidate filing, visit the county’s website.
