Whole Foods customers donate thousands to non-profit

Whole Foods Market Bellevue recently donated $11,760 through the Change for Change program, which gives shoppers the opportunity to leave their spare change at the coffee bar for donation to non-profits.

The money raised by Bellevue shoppers over the course of 2008 will go to Trees, Water & People, an organization dedicated to helping communities protect, conserve, and manage natural resources.

“We are absolutely thrilled to offer this donation to this organization,” said Whole Foods Bellevue spokeswoman Theresa Crim. “We really care for our communities and our environment and this money will go a long way to help protect our environment for future generations.”
