Westminster Chapel will celebrate the Year of the Sheep in its annual Lunar New Year Celebration on Feb. 7.

In response to growing diversity in Eastside communities, Westminster Chapel began promoting the celebration of the Lunar New Year 12 years ago. This year’s churchwide event will complete the Lunar New Year cycle.

The event, from 3-8:30 p.m., will include a light Asian meal from 4:30-6:30 p.m.; cultural exhibits, crafts, activities and demonstrations from 3-6:30 p.m.; and a 10-table ping pong tournament. Registration at www.westminster.org/LNY for the tournament, which will start at 5:30 p.m. There also will be a tea room with hot tea and live music from 3-6:30 p.m. An evening program will feature live entertainment with traditional music, dance and more from 7-8:30 p.m.

Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (60+), $8 for children (4-12 years) and free for children under age 4.
