Update: Police locate missing father and daughter

The Bellevue Police are searching for a 14-year-old girl and her father, who has a history of mental illness and left a note saying he would never return home.

Update:  Li and Fu were found safe in Lewis County late on Dec. 21.

They were found at a Motel 6, and it appears that the daughter went with her father voluntarily, according to police.

Original story: The Bellevue Police are searching for a 14-year-old girl and her father, who has a history of mental illness and left a note saying he would never return home.

Dan Li, 41, left his Bellevue residence around 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 21 with his 14-year-old daughter Cindy Fu.  Li left a note at the residence stating that he was never returning home.  Li is bipolar and schizophrenic and is not taking his prescribed medications.

Li is possibly driving his 2014 Toyota Tundra pickup, Washington license plate C23935A.

Both Li and Fu have been entered into law enforcement databases as missing and endangered, however this case does not currently meet the criteria for an amber alert, as it is currently unknown whether Fu went with Li voluntarily.

Members of the public are asked to call 911 if they know the whereabouts of Li or Fu.
