Bellevue Mayor Conrad Lee has secured his position on the Bellevue City Council with Wednesday night ballot counts showing him still way ahead of opponent, Lyndon Heywood, and Bellevue parks commissioner Lynne Robinson appear all but certain to join him in the chamber next year. Incumbent Councilmember Kevin Wallace is still holding a small lead against his Position No. 4 opponent, Steve Kasner, chairman for the East Bellevue Community Council.

King County election results posted twice Wednesday show Lee ahead of Heywood at 78.14 percent or 14,227 votes. Robinson, who was ahead of opponent, Vandana Slatter, Tuesday night, remains ahead at 63.05 percent or 11,251 votes. Wallace remained in a slight lead Wednesday at 51.09 percent or 9,368 votes.
Of the 74,274 registered voters in the city, 28.10 percent were counted as of Wednesday or 20,871.
For the Bellevue School District, Krischanna Roberson saw a slight increase to her lead against Tracy Trojovsky for District No. 4 at 59.82 percent or 9,321 votes. My-Linh Thai held strong against Ed Luera for District No. 5 at 56.79 percent or 9,729 votes. Chris Marks ran unopposed for District No. 3.

Of the 72,094 registered voters in the district, 28.22 percent were counted as of Wednesday or 19,053.
The East Bellevue Community Municipal Corporation will continue with 79.31 percent approval or 895 votes.
Due to King County Elections receiving many last-minute ballots, it updated election results twice Wednesday. The office received 517,000 ballots Wednesday morning and anticipated 60,000 ballots would be counted that night.

There were about 40,000 ballots counted at 4:30 p.m.
“We counted about 75 percent of the ballots that we had in as of yesterday,” stated Sherril Huff, Director of Elections, in a statement. “Due to the very large number of ballots that came in today’s mail, combined with a substantial number of drop box returns from last night, I have decided to extend the work schedule today to deliver two sets of results reports.”
