Around a dozen Federal Bureau of Investigation agents executed a warrant on a home on the 15000 block of S.E. 25th Street early Monday morning, according to eyewitnesses and local police.

Around ten FBI vehicles and between 10 and 15 agents were seen at the residence around 6 a.m. on Sept. 14. The reason behind the FBI’s actions is unknown at this time.

I can confirm that we executed a search warrant at that location, and gladly report that our routine activity went smoothly,” said FBI Seattle spokesperson Ayn Dietrich-Williams. She could not release more information about the FBI’s actions, citing an ongoing investigation. However, she said there is no information to suggest any reason to be concerned for public safety.

The Bellevue Police confirmed that federal agents had served a warrant at that date and time. The FBI has not responded to requests for comment at this time.

Bellevue resident Chris Cherry told the Reporter that he was on his back porch when he believes he heard FBI agents banging on the front door of the home and announce themselves. Driving by the residence roughly 30 minutes later, Cherry reported that he saw two females out on the front lawn and agents swarming the front of the house.

“There were FBI vehicles everywhere,” said Cherry. “I’ve only lived here for four months, but this is usually a really quiet neighborhood, so it was pretty unusual.”

According to Cherry, a neighbor living directly next door to the residence told him over the app NextDoor that the house was a rental property.
