King County Public Health closed the Anjappar Chettinad restaurant on Northeast 24th Street in Bellevue on Friday, March 28, prior to its opening, citing a number of food safety violations that need to be mitigated.

The Indian restaurant is alleged to have had potentially hazardous food at unsafe temperatures, improper cooling and heating controls, a lack of handwashing facilities and a broken walk-in cooler. The restaurant will be allowed to open once an inspector has approved all fixes have been made.
