Two Bellevue students have won scholarships in contest sponsored by the Eastside Republican Club. Applicants had to write on the topic, “How would a $15 per hour minimum wage affect jobs?”
Charles Lu won a $1,000 scholarship. He is a student at Interlake High School and plans to attend Stanford University. Julia Ellings won a $500 scholarship. She is a student at Claremont McKenna College in California.
