Two state legislators visit Bellevue Tuesday to talk about health care reform

Sen. Karen Keiser, chair of the Senate Health & Long-Term Care Committee, and Rep. Eileen Cody, chair of the House Health Care and Wellness Committee, will be in Bellevue Tuesday to talk about health care reform.

The goal, they said, is to engage Washingtonians in a discussion on how federal health reform efforts could impact Washington residents.

The meeting will be from 7-9 p.m. at Temple B’nai Torah, 15727 NE Fourth St.

“We look forward to a rational, informed discussion about this issue,” Keiser said. “We can’t continue to spend trillions each year on an outdated health care system that excludes millions of Americans. Some type of reform will happen, and states are going to be charged with implementing any federal changes. We want to discuss how reform could impact us here in Washington.”

Space will be limited, so participants are encouraged to arrive early.
