Two from Bellevue receive scholarships

Two Bellevue students have received $2,500 BECU scholarships for the 2013-14 school year. The scholarships reward exceptional community service by graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students.

 

Two Bellevue students have received $2,500 BECU scholarships for the 2013-14 school year. The scholarships reward exceptional community service by graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students.

Graham Jordan, a recent graduate of Interlake High School, founded a microfinance-based charity called Lending Peace, which combines his interest in finance, passion for business and desire to help others. Through fundraisers, Jordan raised hundreds of dollars for entrepreneurs throughout the world.

Raymond Still, a former graduate of Interlake, served a year in New York for City Year AmeriCorps. He is a student at Evergreen State College in Olympia.
