Two from Bellevue join League of Education Voters Foundation board

Kathy Binder and Janet Levinger, both of Bellevue, has joined the board of directors of the League of Education Voters Foundation.

Binder is the co-owner of Exotic Metals Forming aerospace engineering firm in Kent and served many years on the board of the Bellevue Schools Foundation as well as president of her children’s school’s Parent Teacher Association. She is active in the education reform movement and serves on the Board of Directors for Washington Stand for Children.

Levinger has worked as a community volunteer and an advocate for children with many local nonprofit organizations for more than a decade. She currently serves on the boards of United Way King County and Child Care Resources, and on the communications committee of Thrive by Five Washington.

Levinger has previously served on boards of or been involved with the Foundation for Early Learning, the Early Care and Education Coalition, the Pacific Northwest Ballet, the Children’s Alliance, and the Bellevue Schools Foundation.

The League of Education Voters Foundation is a statewide, citizen-founded organization committed to improving student success and building bridges between early learning, K-12, and higher education.
