Two boys have dog-gone good idea for Humane Society

David Benveniste and Jake Halela are going to the dogs – and they hope to clean up.

David, an eighth grader at Bellevue’s Tyee Middle School, and Jake, an eighth grader who lives in Newcastle, are raising funds as part of their upcoming Bar Mitzvah preparations.

One of the values they learn through the process is the importance of giving back to their community and doing good deeds for others. Since the two are dog owners, and are passionate about the well-being of pets, they have decided to have a Dog Wash to benefit the Seattle Humane Society.
