Two Bellevue events explore trade with India and China

Bellevue City Hall will play host to two events this month aimed at helping businesses and entrepreneurs learn about new export and import trade opportunities with China and India.

The first event, “China – The Next Five Years,” will take place Feb. 17, 5:30-8 p.m. A panel of experts will discuss the evolution of the U.S.-China trading relationship, new policies and what the future holds.

Also on tap: the “new generation,” urbanization, wages and population growth.

Attendees will also learn about the level of competition between China and India for information-technology outsourcing.

The second event, “Developing a Marketing Strategy for India,” will take place Feb. 24, 6-9 p.m.

Entrepreneurs and executives with companies selling or considering doing business in india can learn from a panel of experts appearing via audio and visual feed from Mumbai.

The panel will feature entrepreneurs, U.S. Department of Commerce officials and legal experts.
