Law enforcement officers will trade in their handcuffs for aprons in an effort to earn tips for Special Olympics Washington athletes today at all 32 Washington Red Robin locations.
Law enforcement officers and department personnel will volunteer their time as “celebrity waiters.”
The event lasts from noon to 8 p.m. Red Robin restaurants in Bellevue are located at Bellevue Square, Factoria Mall and the Overlake area on 148th Ave. Northeast.
Special Olympics Washington provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Events such as “Tip-A-Cop” help Special Olympics Washington provide these programs at no cost to the athletes or their families.
