Threat closes International School

The International School was closed today following a third-party report of a potential threat made against the school through social media Thursday night. Bellevue Police Detective Amanda Jensen confirmed a minor was arrested this morning in connection to the alleged threat. It is unknown if the minor is a student at the International District.

The Bellevue School District issued a statement to the Reporter that it is working on a follow-up letter for International School parents. Next week is mid-winter break for district students, who will not return to classes until Feb. 23.

Two police cars and several school resource officers were at the International School Friday morning to ensure school safety and continue the investigation, according to the school district.
