Sunrise Rotary croquet tourney raises $30,000

The Bellevue Sunrise Rotary Club's 19th Annual Speed Croquet Tournament and benefit Auction at Marymoor Park raised nearly $30,000, including more than $6,000 to the Coal Creek YMCA’s Family pre-teen program.

 

The Bellevue Sunrise Rotary Club’s 19th Annual Speed Croquet Tournament and benefit Auction at Marymoor Park raised nearly $30,000, including more than $6,000 to the Coal Creek YMCA’s Family pre-teen program.

A total of 22 teams of six players each participated in the Aug. 6 event.

“I grateful for such a wonderful group of people who truly believe in making a positive difference in our community,” said Sara Biancofiori, associate executive director of the Coal Creek YMCA.

Other funds raised at the event will be donated to The Bellevue Sunrise Rotary Club’s foundation to support local and international service projects for the benefit of the less fortunate.

The club was chartered in October 1988 and meets from 7-8:30 a.m. Tuesdays at the Old Country Buffet in Factoria. More information is available at http://bellevuesunriserotary.com/.
