Strawberry Festival seeking entrants for classic car show

Eastside Heritage Center’s Bellevue Strawberry Festival is accepting applications for its Classic Auto Show, to be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 29, the second day of the two-day festival.

 

Eastside Heritage Center’s Bellevue Strawberry Festival is accepting applications for its Classic Auto Show, to be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 29, the second day of the two-day festival.

Cars will be judged by public ballot for a variety of categories, including Best of Show, Best Pre-WWII, Best Post-WWII, Oldest at Show, Owner’s Choice, Youth’s Choice, and Best Un-restored Original. All participants will receive a dash plaque. Trophies are given to those that win in each of the above categories.

Vehicle Registration Forms are available on the Strawberry Festival website at www.BellevueStrawberryFestival.org, and the entry fee is $20 per vehicle.

The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 28 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 29 at Crossroads International Park in Bellevue. The festival features entertainment all weekend-long, strawberry shortcake, historical displays and activities presented by the Eastside Heritage Center, and fresh produce from local farmers. There will be food for all tastes and over 85 vendor booths, from hand crafts to home improvement. The a family fun area will provide pony rides, inflatable bouncers, face painting, balloons, a train, Power Jump, the Mini-Mountain rock-climbing wall, a big purple slide and more. A regular feature is a straw betty shortcake eating contest.

Free parking and shuttle bus every 15 minutes is provided from Highland Middle School and Interlake High School.
