STIR, Twisted Cork close; vacancies at 989 Elements

This was the week of closures in Bellevue. On Sunday, March 14, STIR Martini and Raw Bar and Twisted Cork, both owned by Solstice Restaurant Group, called it quits.

Owner Matt Bomberger released a statement on Facebook the day prior, announcing the closure. No specific reasons for the abrupt closure were given. The announcement came just weeks after Solstice rebranded the Twisted Cork space, merging it with the former O/8 Seafood Grill.

Elsewhere in Bellevue, Vertigo Lounge & Grill and Zen Asian Bistro are both gone from the 989 Elements building at the corner of Northeast 10th Street and 112th Avenue Northeast. Also in the complex, Deyss Salon & Spa left the complex last year and has yet to be replaced.
