St. Louise School 4th graders are assisting the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul as part of their year-long classroom service project.
During the year, the 4th grade collects toiletries for the homeless that are later delivered by the 8th graders as part of their outreach into the community.
The 4th grade also collects seasonal items such as mittens and gloves to help those in need get through the winter months. The 4th graders also add their personal touch each month by making handmade placemats and cards.
St. Louise School focuses on service to their community. In each of the K-8 homerooms, students assist an agency or organization of their choice for the school year. When students graduate from the 8th grade, they will have had nine consecutive years of learning about service.
