Snow forecast not expected to affect work on 520

The snow forecast for this weekend in the Puget Sound region isn’t expected to affect work on Highway 520 in Bellevue.

The forecast is for up to four inches of snow between Northgate and Everett.

State Route 520 panel replacement work is still on because snow is not forecast south of the convergence zone, DOT officials say.

Crews plan to close one lane around the clock on eastbound SR 520 in Bellevue to rip out existing asphalt bridge approach panels and replace them with new concrete slabs at 130th Avenue Northeast.

Drivers should plan for up to 15-minute delays on Highway 520.
