Six from Bellevue area receive scholarships at Western Washington

Six students from Bellevue at Western Washington University have received scholarships. They are: Katelyn Kirschner, daughter of Jeff and Kimm Klassen of Bellevue, received a $2,000 Leona Hickman Educational Scholarship, a $1,500 President’s Scholarship and a $1,000 MAP scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Six students from Bellevue at Western Washington University have received scholarships. They are: Katelyn Kirschner, daughter of Jeff and Kimm Klassen of Bellevue, received a $2,000 Leona Hickman Educational Scholarship, a $1,500 President’s Scholarship and a $1,000 MAP scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Kirschner, an incoming freshman, earned a 3.91 GPA at Interlake High School.

Dana McGarr, daughter of Debbie McGarr of Bellevue, received a $2,500 James Michael Haskell Scholarship for the next four academic years, a $2,000 President’s Scholarship for the next two academic years and a $1,000 MAP Scholarship and $1,000 Don C. and Ada G. Walter Memorial Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

McGarr, an incoming freshman, earned a 3.91 GPA at Newport High School.

Corinne Roberts, daughter of David and Emilin Roberts of Bellevue, received a $500 MAP Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Roberts, an incoming freshman, earned a 3.47 GPA at Newport High School.

Victor Zou, son of Jian Zou and Yilin Sun of Bellevue, received a $1,000 MAP Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Zou, an incoming freshman, attended Newport High School.

Ilana Pulda, daughter of David Pulda and Amy Glick of Bellevue, received a $1,000 MAP Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Kimmerly, an incoming freshman, earned a 3.68 GPA at Newport High School.

Mailka Hays, daughter of Brante C’even and Jayne Hays of Bellevue, received a $2,000 MAP Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.
