Seminars on tomatoes, rainwater set at Molbak’s

Molbak’s will host two free gardening seminars on Saturday, June 5.

The first, from 9:30-11 a.m. till show people how to grow heirloom tomatoes organically. Steve Goto, of Gotomato, an expert in organic gardening methods and products, is a third generation nurseryman from California and will share tips based on more than 20 years of growing heirloom and popular varieties of tomatoes.

A seminar from noon to 1 p.m. will discuss how to Harvest Rainwater, featuring Amy Ockerlander, from Seattle Tilth. She will share tips on the many ways rainwater can be stored and used in landscape and perennial edible garden.
