Second victim found in I-90 shooting

A second victim of a shooting along I-90 has been found Tuesday. The man, who was not shot, stumbled into the Fire Training Center near North Bend about 9:15 a.m. He was taken to Overlake Hospital in Bellevue to be treated for some relatively minor injuries.

It appears both men were driven to Exit 38, Homestead Valley Road off I-90 this morning about 2 a.m. in a Chevrolet Suburban and dropped off, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office. Shots were fired at both, but only one man was hit. He was found on the freeway at MP 37, east of North Bend, and had been shot at least once in the legs. Apparently the second man had been hiding in the woods until he found his way to the Training Center.

At about 3:40 a.m. the 1997 Suburban was found in the 30100 block of the Kent-Kangley Road fully engulfed in flames. The vehicle is registered in Kennewick.

There have been no arrests and the investigation continues.
