Boy Scout Troop 600 will conduct its 13th annual Christmas Tree Recycling Drive on Saturday, Jan. 9 at Clyde Hill Elementary School in Bellevue.
“This event makes Scouting possible for some boys who otherwise might not be able to afford it,” said Scoutmaster Doug Backous. “Our recycling drive raises funds that cover all sorts of things, from activity fees to camping equipment.”
Scouts from Troop 600 will collect trees in the West Bellevue/Enatai/Points areas — from I-405 west to Lake Washington and from Interstate 90 north to SR-520 plus Yarrow Point, Hunts Point and Evergreen Point.
The troop will also accept drop-offs at the school, 9601 NE 24th St., from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Jan. 9. Trees will be chipped and delivered to the Kirkland Parks Department, which will use them at Juanita Park.
Troop 600 requests a $10 donation. More information or placing orders is available online at www.recyclemytree.com or by phone at 425-452-5573.
