Scott Meyer, son of Robert and Judy Meyer of Bellevue, received a $2,000 President’s Scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year.

President’s Scholarships are awarded to approximately the top 8 to 10 percent of incoming freshmen and transfer students and are based on superior academic achievement.

Meyer, an entering freshman at WWU, earned a 3.69 GPA from Newport High School. He is planning to major in engineering and psychology.
