Sammamish High School students win second at business competiton

Team “EcoCycle”, made up of Sammamish High School students Alex Martinez, Noah Pratt, Anthony Dorra Gaffari and Cooper Horton, participated the WSUBusiness Competition at Washington State University in April. EcoCyle placed second out of 17 teams that competed in the high school division, winning $3,500.

EcoCyle placed second out of 17 teams that competed in the high school division, winning $3,500.

EcoCycle’s concept is to produce electricity from an existing heat source and turning this “heat” into usable electricity.

This competition open to high schools and consists of students “pitching” their idea to four judges, who evaluate their concept.
