A baby girl from Sammamish, Demsie Lynn Heady, was the first baby born at Overlake Hospital in 2013. She is the daughter of Katherine (Katy) and Austin Heady.

Demsie was born at 1:53 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1 and weighed 8 lbs, 10 oz. She has a big sister, Emerson, 5.

Mother and baby are doing fine.
