An Eastside task force discovered more than $1 million worth of marijuana at a Renton home Nov. 4.
Members of the Eastside Narcotics Task Force, a consortium of local police departments including Bellevue, served a search warrant on a two-story rental house at 11 p.m. that night and discovered 605 marijuana plants and 71 pounds of the drug.
The home was within a mile of Hazen High School and Maplewood Heights Elementary.
The the interior of the home experienced significant damage as a result of the grow. There were multiple holes in the floor, walls and ceiling. Water damage was also evident throughout the home.
Materials collected as evidence included: 55 hoods, 55 lighting ballasts and 61 light bulbs. Detectives also located an underground power diversion to the rental home.
There are no suspects currently in custody and the investigation remains ongoing.
