Police say a report from a concerned neighbor in the Wilburton area on Thursday led to the arrest of three suspects in a rash of package thefts that occurred in several Bellevue neighborhoods.

The caller reported seeing a vehicle stop in front of their neighbor’s home, one suspect running to the front door and stealing a package, and then leaving the area, according to a Bellevue Police news release. Officers caught up with the suspects’ vehicle on the 700 block of 126th Avenue Northeast, where they were arrested for various crimes and warrants, the report states.

Detectives have identified five victims, so far, from the Bellefield, Surrey Downs and Wilburton neighborhoods of Bellevue. The department cautions people to be more watchful for suspicious behavior in their neighborhoods during the holiday season, as more people shopping online means the opportunity for people to steal packages is higher.
