Construction on Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass continues next week and drivers should plan ahead to avoid delays due to rock blasting and single lane closures.

The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close I-90 in both directions from Gold Creek (milepost 56) to the Price Creek Sno Park (milepost 61) for rock blasting Monday, Oct. 10, through Thursday, Oct. 13, from 6-7 p.m., each night. Due to the uncertain nature of rock blasting, blasting closures could last longer and are subject to frequent schedule changes.

Drivers will also run into delays between Cle Elum (milepost 70) and Easton (milepost 80) due to single lane closures in both directions from Sunday, Oct. 9, at 9 p.m., through Friday, Oct. 14, at 9 a.m. Mondays typically have higher traffic volumes, so drivers should plan for about an hour of added travel time through the work zone.
