Bellevue residents interested in hands-on community improvement projects are invited to move from vision to action at a workshop at City Hall on April 19.
The third and final neighborhood forum focused on the common good, the workshop will be 7-9 p.m. At the workshop, participants will be asked to contribute ideas, identify projects and join others to form small brainstorming groups focused on important community issues – with the goal of taking on a community project.
The workshop will be led by Bill Grace, director of Common Good Works, an organization that provides training and education for groups and individuals seeking to act for the common good.

The neighborhood forums in February and March addressed key community issues, including affordable housing in Bellevue, caring for the needs of youth and thriving in a culturally diverse community. Workshop participants may choose one of these themes or identify a different community issue as the focus of a project.
Neighborhood Outreach staff will be on hand at the workshop and as an ongoing resource to help with projects, and to provide resources and referral. This format provides the opportunity for residents to get involved in the community in a big or small way, with the support of their neighbors and the city.
This workshop is made possible by the support of neighborhood associations including Bridle Trails, Somerset, Horizon Crest, Horizon Heights, Woodridge, Bellecrest, Ellenes Addition, Newport Hills, Surrey Downs, Sunset, Norwood Village and Whispering Heights & Collingwood.
