Three students from Bellevue have been placed on the dean’s list at Eastern Washington University. They are: Amanda Lucas, Bellevue High School, and Timothy Martinell and Arash Ranjbaran, both of Sammamish High School.

An undergraduate student who earns 12 quality hours and receives a GPA of 3.5 or better is placed on the dean’s list for the quarter.

Kirsten Cowles of Bellevue graduated from Central Washington University with a 3.7 GPA. She double majored in retail management and Spanish and studied abroad in Seville, Spain for a year. She was President of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society.

Patty Hamilton, a sophomore at Newport High School, has been awarded a full scholarship from the CIEE-Korea Foundation South Korea Summer Program for a two-week cultural exchange sponsored by the Korean government to promote US-Korean relations for future leaders. Patty will spend two weeks at Yonsei University in Seoul learning about Korean culture and visiting cultural sites.

She is the daughter of Jim and Sil Hamilton.

Twenty-four students from Bellevue have been awarded scholarship support from the University of Idaho for the 2009-10 academic year.

The are Alexander Nicholas Larson, Alyssa Kristine Creason, Andrew Ryan Longhorn, Benjamin Max Cohodas, Benjamin Michael Lavigne, Brianna Jo Milford, Cady Ann Smola, Carrie Anne Williams, Cassandra Marie Culver, Daniel Christopher Nedell, Elliott Benjamin Kalin, Jacqueline Rachel Watts, Jennifer Diane Kellogg, Jessica Marie Greenwood, Joel Michael Mahoney, John Taylor Altomare, Jon-Henry Joseph Kubej, Kristi May Schaible, Madeline Claire Hughes, Mason Chadwick Sherk, Paul Clifton Barrois, Sarah Asuka Sakai, Scott Peixotto Monk and Wesley Allan Wiles.
