Pacific National Bank | Heritage Corner

Founded by nine Bellevue citizens, this bank was originally called the First National Bank of Bellevue.

Founded by nine Bellevue citizens, this bank was originally called the First National Bank of Bellevue. It eventually sold to Pacific National Bank and moved into the structure seen here in the early 1960s.

This location is in Bellevue Square facing Bellevue Way; the “Bellevue Square” letters can be seen in the foreground. A sign on the bank advertises an “autoteller,” a convenience for mobile Bellevue citizens.

In 1973 rumor had it that there were more banks in Bellevue than in any other Washington city except Seattle. (Thirty-one banks were listed in the phone book.)
